Output tumbled for both manufacturing (-3.3% vs 7% in May) and mining & quarrying (-1.9% vs 11.9%).
Moreover, output continued to decrease for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (-6.1% vs -3.1%). Meanwhile, output declined at a softer pace for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (-23.6% vs -24.4%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 2.1% in June, slipping further from a downwardly revised 1.2% drop in the previous month.
